Vaayaa Content Assurance Framework

The VCAF Quality Standard

Every course on Vaayaa moves through a six-stage human-led editorial pipeline, is scored against a transparent Content Quality Index (CQI), and is continuously monitored after publishing. This page documents that process in full.

The Pipeline

Six Stages from Concept to Publication

A structured production line where each stage adds a distinct layer of quality. No course skips a stage. No stage is optional.

1
Foundation Layer

Content Foundation

Define curriculum outcomes and scaffold the learning blueprint.

  • Define lesson objectives aligned with program outcomes
  • Map every section to Bloom's Revised Taxonomy levels
  • Build the module-section-subtopic blueprint
  • Set difficulty progression across modules
→ Blueprint Approved
2
Drafting Layer

Initial Content Drafting

Produce the raw academic body of the course.

  • Lecture script and reading material
  • Slide deck and visual assets
  • Quiz questions and assignments
  • Originality screening against full catalogue
→ Draft Version V1
3
Validation Layer

SME & Industry Review

Verify accuracy and real-world industry relevance.

  • Subject Matter Expert validates concept correctness
  • Industry practitioner confirms current practice
  • Depth calibrated to Diploma vs Degree level
  • Citations and data points verified
→ Version V2
4
Calibration Layer

Independent Calibration Review

Independent reviewer removes bias and standardizes quality.

  • Reviewer is not the original author
  • Concept clarity and logical flow audit
  • Assessment difficulty calibration
  • Cross-course consistency check
→ Version V3
5
Polish Layer

Language, UX & Accessibility

Final polish for clarity, engagement, and inclusive design.

  • Language editor: grammar and readability
  • Instructional designer: engagement and visual flow
  • WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility verification
  • Cross-device formatting and responsive checks
→ Version V4 — Scoring Ready
6
Living Layer

Post-Publish Quality Monitoring

Quality continues after publication. Always.

  • Learner feedback ingestion at module completion
  • Quarterly CQI-Live recalculation
  • Auto-flag for revision if score drops below threshold
  • Mandatory full re-review every 18 months
→ Continuous Improvement
Educational Principles

Built on Established Pedagogy

VCAF is informed by decades of educational research. Every design decision traces back to one of these foundational frameworks.

The Core Equation

Content Quality Index

CQI = 0.25A + 0.20C + 0.15S + 0.15E + 0.15R + 0.10L
A = Accuracy C = Clarity S = Structure E = Engagement R = Relevance L = Language
Why These Weights

Each Weight Has a Reason

Weights are not arbitrary. Each reflects how much that quality dimension affects the learner outcome.

Accuracy
25%
Incorrect content invalidates every other quality factor. Highest weight by design.
Clarity
20%
Comprehension is the second gate. Learners cannot apply what they cannot understand.
Structure
15%
Logical sequencing enables cognitive scaffolding (per Bloom's hierarchy).
Retention collapses without learner interest. Course completion depends on engagement.
Relevance
15%
Industry applicability drives the return on investment for the learner.
Language
10%
Important polish layer, but subordinate to content integrity.
Anchored Scoring Rubric

24 Quality Descriptors. Zero Ambiguity.

Every CQI parameter is anchored to four explicit performance tiers. Click any parameter to expand the full rubric.

0–4Poor
Factually incorrect claims, misattributed concepts, outdated data, or unsupported assertions.
5–6Average
Mostly correct with minor factual slips, thin citations, or one or two outdated references.
7–8Good
Factually sound, properly contextualized, industry-current, with credible references throughout.
9–10Excellent
Authoritative, cross-verified, reflects latest industry practice, and anticipates emerging trends.
0–4Poor
Confusing prose, undefined jargon, broken explanation flow. Learner reaches for external help repeatedly.
5–6Average
Generally understandable but requires re-reading. Some concepts assume prior context that wasn't established.
7–8Good
Clear language, defined terms, smooth concept progression. Minor re-reads only on complex topics.
9–10Excellent
Reads on first pass. Complex ideas distilled with precision. Examples illuminate rather than complicate.
0–4Poor
Random ordering, no scaffolding, jumps between difficulty levels without warning.
5–6Average
Sections exist but transitions are abrupt. Module-to-module flow is uneven.
7–8Good
Logical progression, clear section breaks, predictable difficulty curve.
9–10Excellent
Each module builds explicitly on the previous. Concept dependencies are mapped and respected throughout.
0–4Poor
Theoretical content disconnected from real-world practice. No industry application visible.
5–6Average
Industry references exist but feel grafted-on. Limited workplace applicability.
7–8Good
Concepts mapped clearly to workplace tasks. Case studies feel current and applicable.
9–10Excellent
Every section answers "how does this help me at work tomorrow?" with concrete, applicable insight.
0–4Poor
Frequent grammar errors, awkward phrasing, inconsistent terminology, distracting typos.
5–6Average
Generally readable with occasional errors. Tone shifts between sections.
7–8Good
Polished prose, consistent voice, controlled vocabulary appropriate for the audience.
9–10Excellent
Editorial-grade writing. Active voice dominates, sentences breathe, vocabulary calibrated to learner level.

The Publishing Gate

Three Verdicts. One Standard.

A course's CQI determines its destiny. No exceptions, no overrides.

≥ 90%
Publish
Course meets the Vaayaa quality bar. Released to learners and earns the CQI badge.
80–89%
Revise
Sent back to the weakest stage. The lowest-scoring parameter must be lifted before re-scoring.
< 80%
Reject
Returned to Stage 1 or 2 for fundamental rebuild. No partial fixes accepted.
Stage 6 In Detail

Quality Doesn't End at Publishing

Most platforms ship a course and forget it. Vaayaa monitors quality for the entire lifetime of every course in the catalogue.

Learner Feedback
Rating prompts at every module completion feed real signal into our quality engine.
Quarterly CQI-Live
Original CQI (60%) blended with learner-signal CQI (40%), recalculated every quarter.
Auto-Flag Below Threshold
Two consecutive quarters below 80% triggers automatic revision queue entry.
18-Month Re-Review
Every course undergoes mandatory full editorial re-review at the 18-month mark.
30-Day Rapid Update
Breaking industry changes (new regulation, standard, or technology) get updated within 30 days.
Archival Path
Courses that fall persistently below standard are retired rather than left to mislead learners.
Accessibility

A Binary Gate, Not a Score

A course is either usable by everyone or it is not. We refuse to score this on a sliding scale.

WCAG 2.2 AA Conformance Target

Aligned with W3C public accessibility standards.

  • Minimum contrast ratio 4.5:1 on body text, 3:1 on large text
  • Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators
  • Semantic HTML5 with proper heading hierarchy
  • Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images
  • No autoplay media, no flashing content above safe thresholds
  • Readable line length 45–75 characters; resizable to 200% without loss
  • Screen reader compatible (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver tested)
  • Reduced-motion preferences honored across all interactions

Editorial Integrity

Six Promises We Refuse to Break.

No Fabricated Statistics
Numbers attributed to real organizations are verifiable. We use anonymized scenarios when data cannot be cited.
No Real Companies Cited Loosely
Case studies use generic descriptors and mock organizations to teach principles without misrepresenting real entities.
Theory Before Practice
Healthcare, safety, and regulated-domain content stays in theory and administration scope. No invasive procedure instruction.
No Aspirational Hyperbole
We don't promise learners they will "master" or "become an expert" in hours. Honest learning outcomes only.
Originality Screening
Every course is screened against the full Vaayaa catalogue and external sources before passing Stage 2.
Correction Without Delay
Verified errors are corrected within 7 days of report. Affected learners are notified directly.

This Is the Vaayaa Standard.

Quality is not a marketing promise — it is a documented process, a published score, and a public ledger. Every course on Vaayaa earns its place on the platform. Every learner gets the same standard regardless of price.
