This assessment shows how a brand identity and graphic design team can find, rate and control the risks that affect its public image, legal standing and campaign results. Eight risks were chosen because they are plausible in everyday creative and campaign work. Misleading claims carry the highest inherent score, while privacy failures and account compromise also rank High because their impact on people and budgets is serious. Each risk is scored before controls and again after existing and additional controls. Most fall to Low or Medium once checks are in place, but claim accuracy and audience consent stay at Medium because legal and trust impact remains serious. The first actions are a pre-launch claims and rights check, a licence register for fonts and images, enforced multi-factor sign in and a fraud screen on lead data. The business is a teaching example, so every score shows method, not a real organization.
Scope
This assessment covers the brand identity system and graphic design work of a mid-sized consumer business, from logo and visual guidelines to campaign artwork, digital ads, social content and landing pages. It looks at risks to accuracy, legal compliance, audience privacy, campaign budget, brand trust and access to shared accounts. It does not give legal advice on advertising, privacy or intellectual property, and it does not assess any real brand. Jurisdiction, channels, team size and tools are assumptions made for teaching.
Context
The team has a brand manager, two senior designers, a content producer and a marketing analyst. Creative is made in shared design software, stored in a cloud folder and published through advertising platforms, a content management system and social accounts. Freelance illustrators, photographers, font licensors, influencers and a media agency supply work. Each risk is scored before controls to show its natural level, then again after the existing controls and the additional controls proposed here.
Objectives, assets and stakeholders
The objective is to launch creative that is accurate, lawful, respectful and on brand, to protect audience data and shared accounts, to keep campaign spend honest and to keep the trust of customers, partners and regulators. The assets in scope are the brand identity system, master design files, licence records, audience lists, tracking tags, ad and social accounts, website landing pages and the reputation of the brand. Stakeholders include the marketing and design team, the leadership team, freelance designers and illustrators, agencies, influencers, finance, customers, platform partners and regulators. Each risk has one owner role, and the brand manager keeps the register current and reports each quarter to the leadership team.
